Whilst it may only be a small area of Manchester there’s still so much to see and do. The Levenshulme Old Library has been transformed into community centre with always something going on for the residents of the area. With baby classes, mum-to-be classes, yoga and theatre workshops. Levenshulme Inspire is another community-led organisation that is designed to promote the wellbeing of residents. Take part in workshops, enjoy parent and toddler classes or simply relax and have a bite to eat. There’s always something going on here that residents are always welcome to. Bankley Studios is a great place to take in art exhibitions and you really can’t miss The Street with No Name. The 160-year-old cobbled street has never been given an official name. You won’t miss it though, thanks to the large sign.

Whilst Levenshulme might be known for it’s Takeaway Mile along the A6, there is so much more to this suburb of Manchester. There’s an array of restaurants and cafes to try in the area. The Bluebell pub is perfect for a Sunday roast, and Trove is a must-visit for breakfast or brunch on the weekend as is Auntie Ji’s. The popularity of Cibus ensured that this pop-up pizza place expanded into a full restaurant that serves the most delicious Italian food. Fred’s Ale House is a great place to enjoy a drink of real ale, whilst also taking in some art and The Gherkin is a must-try vegetarian and vegan restaurant that will even tickle meat-loving people’s tastebuds.

Cringle Brook Primary school is a standout school in the area with an Outstanding on their latest Ofsted report. St Richard’s Primary School was also given the same outcome in their latest report. Levenshulme High School was also given an Outstanding in their latest rating from Ofsted, this is an all-girls school. Another secondary school in the area is Grange School or the Manchester Enterprise Academy Central which was recognised to be an excellent school by Ofsted inspectors with an Outstanding rating.

Levenshulme Market runs on Saturday day times, but once a month there is the Night Market which makes for a lovely evening out enjoying local products and food. There’s a lovely ambience to the evening that will have you going back each and every month. The Klondyke Club is somewhere else to have on your raddar to listen to local bands and other live music events. The Bankley Studios and STOCK are great galleries were you can take in lots of art.

Levenshulme Market is a must-visit thanks to the variety of stalls on offer and the entertainment provided in this monthly event. There are themed markets and a wide array of stallholders ensuring it’s a new and fresh experience every time you visit. Plus there’s plenty of food on offer too. Levenshulme Antiques Village is another must visit for shopping in the area, it’s a real treasure trober of remarkable pieces. It’ll be hard to visit here and walk away with your hands empty. Stockport Road is home to most of the shops in the Levenshulme area with the Vintage Store Manchester offering unique home pieces to fill your space with.

Like a lot of Manchester suburbs there’s plenty of green open space to enjoy some fresh air including Crowcroft Park, Nutsford Vale Park, Cringle Park and Highfield Country Park. The must-see outdoor space has to be The Secret Lake though, with a bunch of wildlife spotting opportunities here. Around the lake is space to run, walk or cycle with stunning views to take in along the way.

運輸

The train station is Levenshulme and it takes just 6 minutes to get you to Manchester Piccadilly, making Levenshulme a great spot for commuters. It’s only takes 20 minutes in the car along the M60 too, traffic dependent of course. The bus route 192 runs regularly and will take about 30 minutes to get to the city centre depending on traffic too. The Levenshulme train station also has trains that run to Blackpool North, Hazel Grove, Crewe, Southport and Buxton.
