There are multiple train stations located around the city centre that will take you to different areas of the city or outside of it. There’s Central Station and Moorfields which offer Northern Line routes, and then Liverpool Lime Street which has routes that run to London, Birmingham, Norwich, Manchester and more. You could use the ferry to get across the water to Birkenhead, but there’s also a bus that runs from Liverpool to Birkenhead too. If you’re looking for handy ways to get around the city centre, the Liverpool city scooters, are your quickest bet to get you from A to B. A twenty minute drive through Edge Lane, traffic-dependent, will get you onto the M62 motorway which can easily take you through to Manchester city centre and other surrounding areas.

Liverpool City Centre is home to some stunning walks, and not just through the sights of the city either. There are plenty of green spaces to take in around the city. Chavasse Park located in Liverpool One allows you to take in stunning views of the waterfront. There’s lots of events happening here throughout the year, sometimes a sandy beach or times an ice bar. What’s more, it’s only a stone’s throw away from some excellent restaurants. St. James Mount and the Gardens is a must-visit with a close up view of the Liverpool Cathedral. Great George Square is close to China Town and then there’s St. John’s Gardens behind St. George’s Hall, all of which offer stunning surrounds and enjoyable spaces.

There are multiple schools in the Liverpool City Centre, St Vincent De Paul Catholic Primary School is a standout option after receiving an Outstanding in their latest Ofsted report. Lipa Primary School is also a popular choice, with learning promoted through creative and performing arts. The Studio School, aimed at children aged 14-19 is focused on educating for achievement in the digital world. They focus on creativity and critical thinking. There is also Liverpool Life Sciences UTC which teaches the same age range and focuses learning on subjects in health, life sciences, medicine and engineering.

Liverpool ONE is your main port of call when it comes to shopping in the city, with some of best known brands all located here. Zara, JD Sports, John Lewis, & Other Stories, plus many more all line the main shopping streets. But there’s plenty more dotted around the city to enjoy too, The Met Quarter offers up some of the best designer shopping with Cricket at the forefront. Peter’s Lane is also home to other luxurious brands including Reiss, Hugo Boss and Timothy Oulton. Flannel’s brand new four-storey store has also recently opened in the city, a huge shopping destination that you could spend hours within.
